School is an important part of our life. A lot of us hate school, or we hate the idea of it. Yes, I do think school is important, I don't like it but it is important to our life because it makes us into the person we want to be. I have been going to school since kindergarten, and I am a senior now. I had to learn new things to get to where I am now. In high school, you can pick the classes you take and I think the perfect set of classes would be all the basics and some art classes because I think art is a beautiful thing. I would also like to take a class that teaches me how to change a flat tire, or how to protect myself if I was in danger. Those kinds of things seem more important than a lot of the stuff I learn in school right now. I really don't think my study habits would change because I don't study that often. During class, I would make sure I got all my work done that was needed to be done and work efficiently. My classes right now are boring and if I could make some changes it would be a lot different. I would take classes I am actually interested in. Advice for freshmen: choose you classes wisely!:)

Tell me what you believe this cartoon is trying to say. Do you agree or disagree with this idea? Try and look at this from two different perspectives. What is your perspective? What would be an adult/teacher's perspective?
(Definition of perspective: a particular attitude toward or way of regarding something; a point of view.)
This picture makes me think people in China study math, the people in India study science, and the people in the U.S. just listen to music and do not study anything at all. I disagree with this picture because there are a lot of people generally, that have really good study habits, some of us do not and it really just depends what kind of a student you are. From another perspective, this picture could also make someone think China is the first place that studies math, that goes for India too. It shows that the U.S. doesn't do anything and we just sit around and listen to music. If a teacher looked at this, they may have a lot of different thoughts about it, but they probably think something similar to what I think.

Think about the quote above. What does this mean to you? How could this apply to your life? How could this apply to your school work? I would love to give you less work in class if it meant you were going to focus harder on the work. Do you think you would get more out of it? Would that work for you? Why or why not?
I think this quote means if I put effort towards something and focus really hard on it, I could do less to achieve it. If I applied this to my life, it would be extremely helpful. If I didn't have a job or worked less hours of my job, I could do better in school and focus on homework, and tests that can make my grades better. If I didn't have to do so much homework and study for tests, I could work more and make more money to save for college. If we had to "do less and focus more" in this class, I think it would be beneficial for all of us because we could easily focus really hard in this class on the main subject being taught, without having extra work to do. I think it would defiantly work for me, because I could focus on other classes that have harder homework that's important for my grades and for me to graduate.

What's the coolest thing you've learned in this class so far this year? Now that you have a little knowledge, what do you want to learn that you don't know how to do yet?
The coolest thing I've learned so far in this class is getting to know the global issue I'm researching about. I knew some things about it but not as much as I thought I did.I also really enjoy doing the blog posts because some of them make me go in deep thought about things that I don't really think much about. I would like to learn more about things that could help me in college, such as more software I could use or things on the internet that will help me.

What is email? When do you use email in your own personal life? List reasons and ways that people use email. What do you know about "email etiquette"? EXPLAIN.
Email is a way of communicating to other people, it's fast and easy. If we didn't have email we would still be writing letters and letters can take up to 5 days to be delivered. If a person had to get a hold of someone right away, one of their options could be email. Me, a typical high school student uses email, I use it for many different reasons such as: to send documents, asking questions to a teacher, setting up other social media accounts that require your email, and sometimes I communicate with family. When writing an email, it is important to use email etiquette. Email etiquette is making sure you are using correct punctuation, capitalization, correct grammar, and salutations. I personally, do not think it matters who you are writing to, to use email etiquette, I think it should be used all the time so you sound professional and know what you are talking about.
